[Character name] Echo / Zwei
[Age] Appears ~16I actually have no earthly idea
[Canon] Pandora Hearts
[Point in time taken from canon] Post-Oz’s imprisonment and Alice’s disappearance.
[Background]
Echo’s wiki and Zwei’s wiki There is some overlap between the two.
[Personality]
Echo and Zwei could be considered two sides of the same coin: they share the same body, yet their faces are entirely different. Zwei is the original of the body, yet she is a distortion. To simply put it, bitch be crazy. A sadist to no end, she makes her presence well known, will continuously taunt her prey as she uses those close to them do the deed, mocking them and calling them weak. Watching people suffer gives Zwei pleasure, especially when Echo is the one suffering.
It’s her focus on her prey that usually causes her to be really, really reckless. If there’s no one holding her back, she’ll just jump right into the fight. She has been shot or stabbed almost every time she’s seen out, and you would think she’s built up a tolerance to pain at this point. But not really. If there was a person Zwei loves, it would be Vincent Nightray, purely devoted to the man for unknown reasons. As a Baskerville she’s also loyal to Glenn Baskerville, though unlike the other Baskervilles her priorities are mostly self-serving.
Echo was created as a fail-safe for Zwei, having absolutely inkling of the other's personality. She appears somewhat emotionless and follows orders as law. Very deadpan in her delivery. Sheltered within the Nightray household for the most part, Echo doesn't know much of the outside world other than what's in books or what she observes when she gets the day off. She always keeps a diary on hand, seemingly nothing more than an observation log.
However, contrary to initial impressions, Echo does have a will of her own. It’s just…she has a really difficult time expressing this. Since she is not used to emotions and genuine human compassion, Echo can get easily flustered if she gets too close to another person. Oz seems to be the only person who’s actually tried to spend time with and get to know her, and in turn Echo cares a lot for him.
Unlike Zwei, Echo finds Vincent annoying, and doesn't enjoy the constant “doting” the man does to her in public. She doesn’t like her master, yet she still follows his orders. She's afraid to be beaten and tossed around like a doll, but she feels she has no right to fight against it. Echo is only an echo of a noise. She can't change who the body truly belongs to. Because Zwei is such a dominant figure, Echo thinks very little of her own free will. Zwei wants to be with Vincent, and Echo is bound to Zwei. Though, she does go against him when she truly knows it’s wrong, such as the case when she saved Sharon’s poison.
[Abilities]
Echo’s abilities
Zwei’s abilities
[Other important stuff] Zwei is held back by someone else’s command. Only someone that has control over Echo (one shown so far, Vincent) is able to switch the personalities back and forth at will. Otherwise, while Zwei can try to break through, it’s still a process.

[First Person]
If you were to describe yourself in one sentence, what would that be?
Echo is Echo.
Someone is trying to rob you! What do you do?
Apprehend the criminal immediately, then leave the thief to the proper authority.
You are a given a mission. Would you complete it effectively or would you goof off and do something else? Expand a little on the response.
Echo would complete the mission thoroughly. Goofing off is entirely unacceptable. Why is it even an option?
Do you stand up against authority, go against all odds, and if you could, pierce the heavens with your fighting spirit? If not, would you if you could?
...Echo is beginning to think this interview is pointless.
There is a cake in the rain. What do you do?
Throw it away. Sugar dissolves in contact with water. Whatever is left of that cake is not worth salvaging.
Oh look, there's a double rainbow!
[...Kay. Her eyes are still focused on you Mr. Interviewer.] Is Echo is done here?
EDITS
Do you prefer the city or living out in the country? Why?
It is not for Echo to choose. Echo will go wherever Master Vincent wants to go.
[Third Person]
Today was supposed to be simple. Get up. Train. Wash up. Clean the house. Go out for groceries. Prepare dinner. Perhaps there had been some unscheduled time for reading but all in all it was a set schedule. The first four tasks were completed with zero complications.
Why was it always the part that requires her to go outside that proved the most troublesome?
"Don't play like you didn't hear me girlie. I said leave the food and your money on the ground."
Echo heard the thief just fine. If he was looking for the acknowledgement of a sudden reaction, he's looking in the wrong place. Her eyes remained on the man, unflinching. An older man, possibly in his 40's. Husky stature, some of a beer gut. Likely relies on strength and size to overpower those of smaller stature.
"I said..."
"Echo heard your demands the first time. They are dully noted."
In this whole time, the thief is the first one to actually react. "What did you just say?"
"Echo has no intention with complying with your orders. You are free to walk away now. Should you refuse, you will be turned over to the proper authorities."
A flinch of anger on his part and the thief moved to grab the girl. "Why you-!"
A mistake on his part. Placing her bags on the ground, Echo quickly dodged the man's hand, his confusion and hesitation leading Echo to grab his arm instead and using his own weight to throw him on the ground. Groaning, the thief moved to stand, only to have a dagger pointed at his face.
"Do not get up."
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] Mainly for the cast, though I think a world of dreams would be interesting for a character with a split personality.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] People being nice. I like nice peoples.
[Any questions?] Not necessarily a question, but for the sake of tags you can go ahead and just use Echo. Zwei won’t be around as much.
